Fife Flyers produced a stunning comeback from two goals down overall to qualify for their first-ever Viaplay Challenge Cup Final, beating Sheffield Steelers 7-6 on aggregate after a shootout was needed to decide a winner in front of over 9,000 fans at the Utilita Arena.

Missing A Debt Payment, Diamond Sports Is On The Verge Of Bankruptcy; Upending Local Sports Revenue Model

The Diamond Sports Group, which runs Bally Sports, a group of Regional Sports Networks (RSNs) owned by Sinclair Broadcasting, is expected to file for bankruptcy. According to a number of reports, Diamond Sports missed a $140 million interest-only payment resulting in a Chapter 11 debt restructuring and a 30-day grace period.

Canadian actor Ryan Reynolds has teamed up with Remington Group, a real estate development corporation based in Vaughan, in a bid to buy the NHL franchise, according to Bruce Garrioch of the Ottawa Sun.
